Ehrhardt is a large business to business organization serving other manufacturers with design engineering and machining focused in three areas - tool production, special machine design and manufacturing/machining for other manufacturters. We design and build customized tools, dies, special machines and automated equipment to customer part specifications. Ehrhardt also designs and builds tooling and produces specialized metal stampings for the vending machine and nuclear fuels industries. Our focus on high precision tooling provides the machinery and QC to produce component parts for small to medium quantity compnents on a contract basis for many manufacturers. Founded in 1937 by Willis Ehrhardt, the company is now employee-owned and is one of Alco Industries, Inc.'s operating companies. Operating on two shifts, Ehrhardt currently employees over seventy Tool and Die Makers, Machinists and Machine Operators, as well as seven Design Engineers, four Sales Estimators and a full office support staff. Our machine capabilties range from small Swiss machines and lathes with live tooling to large capacity 2m x 5m vertical mills. Our stamping capabilties focus on sheetmetal with complete coil handling and feed systems to large bed presses up to 800 tons.
